Such a massive handle has now been implemented for the first time with a fixed-blade knife, the T5. A massive Micarta block if shaped per CNC and encloses the tang of the T5 seamlessly on three sides, which looks and feels very special. The tang goes through the handle and protrudes a bit at the end, making it suitable for hammering. The stonewashed blade is made from the high-performance steel Niolox which has already proven itself in numerous other models. Delivery includes high-quality black leather sheath.

I was very pleased to receive my Lion Steel T5, it looked great, had a very well made sheath and a great reputation. But you just have to pick-up and use this knife to see the incredible quality and design of its maker. From the sculptured design of the Micarta handle to the subtle Stone-wash finish, the Lion Steel T5 exudes class. Although the Lion Steel T5 is not specifically marketed as a tactical or survival knife it could serve both tasks admirably. While due to its subtle Drop point shape and despite the blade thickness, it is also works surprisingly well in the kitchen, The Lion Steel M5 is a definite must for those looking for a truly versatile, affordable knife and also appreciates extremely well thought-out design and manufacture.
